I was born and raised in Milwaukee, WI, where I learned an appreciation and love for animals from my father. I graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater in 1979 with a Bachelors of Science in Education degree. I then worked as a bilingual teacher in public middle schools in Kenosha, Milwaukee and Lake Geneva, WI, for the next 28 years.

During those years I continued my interest in animals through training my dogs at K-9 Obedience Training Club, The German Shepherd Dog Club of Wisconsin and For Pets Sake. My canine companions and I have several obedience, agility and rally titles, as well as Companion Dog and Therapy Dog certificates. My interest in dog behavior led me to take a week long seminar in California with Linn Boyke (student of Cesar Milan) of ZEN4K9’s in 2006, as well as other behavior and training seminars. My interest was not just limited to dogs. I’ve trained my pig, Pumbaa, to perform and together we’ve delighted and entertained at many birthday parties, social events, summer camps and day care centers.

In 2007 I became interested in animal communication and Reiki. I attended an animal communication seminar with Asia Voight and completed my Reiki I & II classes through Reiki Master Sheri Bauer of Angel Light in Elm Grove. I also completed an Animal Reiki telecourse with renowned Animal Reiki Practitioner, Kathleen Prasad.

In 2007, I left teaching to become an animal Reiki practitioner and volunteer at the Milwaukee County Zoo. I believe in serving the needs of animals and their human companions for the highest good of all.

I currently reside in Waukesha, WI with my husband, 2 daughters, 2 dogs, 2 cats and a pot-bellied pig.
